On the afternoon of December 4th, the 16th Asian Electronics Forum (AEF) and Global Intelligent Technology Summit opened in Macao, bringing together industry leaders, experts and corporate representatives from across Asia, including Mainland China, Hong Kong, Macao, Taiwan, Thailand, Vietnam, the Philippines, Japan and Uzbekistan. Centering on the theme “AI Reshapes the Ecosystem · Collaboration Defines the Future,” the forum fostered cross-regional dialogue on intelligent technology’s role in advancing the electronics industry and announced the winners of the Asian Electronic Information Industry Product Innovation Award.

In his opening address, Wang Ning, President of the China Electronic Chamber of Commerce (CECC), highlighted that since its inception in 2004, the Asian Electronics Forum has evolved over two decades into Asia's premier and most influential annual gathering for the electronics industry. Wei Shaobang, Secretary-General of the Asian Electronics Forum, emphasized that the global electronics industry is undergoing profound transformation driven by AI technology, impacting not just technological upgrades but the entire industrial ecosystem. As the core region for global electronics manufacturing and consumption, Asia urgently needs to strengthen dialogue and cooperation to jointly address challenges and seize opportunities. Weng Zhenxuan, President of the Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Greater Bay Area Electronics Chamber of Commerce, underscored in his speech that the Greater Bay Area, leveraging its unique institutional advantages, complete industrial chain, and dynamic innovation environment, is committed to deepening connections with ASEAN, Central Asia, and broader international markets.

Following the opening remarks, the forum proceeded to its first key segment: the launch ceremony for the China Electronic Information Industry Index and the establishment of the accompanying Data Research Institute. The index system comprises two core components: the industry index and the brand index. Its establishment, together with the launch of the Data Research Institute, is designed to systematically collect and analyze data, thereby scientifically depicting the development trends and competitive landscape of China’s electronic information industry. At the forum, industry leaders exchanged views on AI adoption and international collaboration. Dr. Dan Lachica, President of the Semiconductor and Electronics Industries in the Philippines Foundation, outlined the country's readiness for the 2026 ASEAN market integration. He emphasized the Philippines' strengths in human resources and costs for semiconductor packaging, testing, and electronics manufacturing, and expressed interest in strengthening supply chain and R&D cooperation with Greater Bay Area companies.

Chen Zhaohui, CEO of Shenzhen Ucloudlink, highlighted efforts to bridge three digital divides—"domestic vs. international," "multi-network interoperability," and "cross-species communication"—by advancing an inclusive IoT and AI ecosystem.Mirziyod Yunusov, Chairman of the Electronic and Electrical Industry Management Association of Uzbekistan, shared the country's strategy to prioritize electronics, noting investment incentives and calling for technical and production partnerships with Asian firms in consumer and automotive electronics.

Sheng Shaoqin, Head of Feishu's Manufacturing Division, showcased how AI-powered collaborative platforms help enterprises integrate global R&D, supply chains, and operations, significantly boosting innovation efficiency and market responsiveness. Martin Panchev, COO of the Trakia Industrial Economic Zone, highlighted Bulgaria's strategic position as an EU gateway and its policy advantages, exploring pathways for complementary integration between Eastern Europe and the Greater Bay Area in the electronics sector.Lai Junjie, Vice President of Engineering and Solutions at NVIDIA, delivered a forward-looking presentation on "Physical AI," explaining how AI models that understand physical laws can optimize product design, processes, and materials development in virtual environments—drastically reducing real-world innovation costs and cycles.Finally, Zhang Yan, Chairman and President of Brother (China) Commercial Co., Ltd., argued that in the AI era, enterprises must evolve from product providers to ecosystem builders, achieving shared success through empowerment and connectivity. She emphasized that future competition will center on ecosystem synergy, where devices no longer operate in isolation, and the integration of cloud, data, AI, and human collaboration will define a smarter, more efficient, and safer new world.

Roundtable Spurs Insightful Debates

Moderated by Bilibili’s Zhou Jiameng, industry leaders including Ge Jin (Proxima Universe Robotics), Dai Rongchang (Shenzhen Vanchip), Chen Bin (Orbbec), Professor Tang Haiyi (Macao Polytechnic University), and Liu Xingliang (DCCI) explored key issues such as industrial chain resilience, computing power costs, and technology commercialization.

The discussion spanned from humanoid robotics and RF chips to 3D vision and AI-driven biomedicine, highlighting how collaborative innovation can overcome technical barriers and unlock new markets.

The "Asian Electronic Information Industry Product Innovation Award" selection attracted over 1.43 million viewers, with 73 products competing. Among them, ten innovative products including the Lenovo ThinkBook Plus rollable screen laptop were honored with the "Golden Tripod Award," while twenty products such as the Zhenxiang Electronic Incense Burner by Shenzhen Shanzheng Culture Technology Co., Ltd. received the "Finalist Award." Zhang Zhizhong, Chairman of Guangdong Lingdu Intelligent Technology, presented the company’s “High-Rise Curtain Wall Cleaning Robot,” designed to address the high-risk challenges of urban glass facade maintenance. Utilizing bionic vacuum adsorption, multi-vision recognition, and intelligent path planning, the robot accurately identifies surface boundaries and cleans thoroughly, replacing 80% of high-risk manual work. Meanwhile, Yu Shui, Chairman of Shenzhen Shanzheng Culture Technology, unveiled the globally launched “Zhenxiang Electronic Incense Burner”—a product that integrates precision electronics, modern design, and traditional cultural elements, exemplifying how technology enables cultural innovation and promotes sustainable living.
